How? How Do I Thrive?

My buddy and I have this ritual. I often ask him if he’d like to go for coffee. He always replies, “I don’t drink coffee.” Then I always say, “It’s not about the coffee!”

Then we go for coffee.

One of the problems of being #SafeAtHome is the disconnectedness we feel. It’s hard not to be together with friends, eating pizza, fishing, exercising, shopping…. We’ve probably all become aware that it isn’t the pizza or the fishing or the working out or the shopping that was important. It was the friendship. It was being together.

It’s not about the coffee.

The challenge we all face these days is knowing HOW to connect. How can we do that?

That’s what this video addresses.

Can you think of ways to get together with your brothers and sisters in Christ and “spur them on” while remaiing #SafeAtHome?

Sure you can! So get to it!!! 🙂

Connecting via Your Church App

These days, you might find it hard to keep up with what is going on in your church family. We’re working hard to make that as natural as possible.

One tool you might use is the Curwensville Alliance Church App.

In just over three minutes, you can discover the features of our app.

As you can see, the app offers you several advantages:

  1. You can find all the information in once place.
  2. You don’t need to have a social media account.
  3. You can add events from the app into your own Google Calendar.

I encourage you to give it a try, if you’re not already using it.

Church Family Pictures…

Don’t you miss seeing your church family?

Laurel, who is not on social media, suggested a way we could see one another this Easter Sunday.

We posted an announcement asking people to share Easter pictures on Facebook. Then, as they posted those pictures, we shared them on our Church Facebook Page.

You can see them — even if you don’t have a Facebook account. Just click here:

If you have a picture that you would like me to post on our Facebook page, you’re welcome to text or email it to me and I will put it on the church Facebook page so that people will receive your Easter greeting.

May you have a blessed remainder of your Easter Sunday.

Why, God?

I have some good friends who feel it’s wrong to ask God “Why?” When I asked them why I can’t ask God why, they say that it’s disrespectful and that it’s none of our business why God does what he does.

Yeah…. and no. You can ask God why with a heart of disrespect. I’ve done it. Countless times.

But you can ask God why with a heart that wants to see what He sees – a heart that wants to know as we are known.

That’s what this video is about.

If asking God “Why?” draws you closer to him, there’s probably little you could do that would be more constructive.
