Couples who are standing beside the ashes of their home \u2013 watching the firetruck rolling up the hoses.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve stood with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly widowed returning to an empty house.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve walked with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parents who have laid to rest what no parent should ever have to lay to rest.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve wept with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I\u2019ve learned to say something that is very counter-intuitive<\/strong>: It\u2019s going to be alright. Because Jesus is Lord, it\u2019s going to be alright.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You would think that I would get smacked for saying such a\nthing. But it\u2019s never happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My wife taught me to say that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said, \u201cSteve \u2013 when I am scared or stressed out or\nhaving trouble believing the good, I just need you to hold me and say the\nwords, \u2018It\u2019s going to be alright.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I say it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I say it, often, by faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I say it because Jesus says it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I say it because it is true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s going to be alright. Jesus is Lord.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
