You may have read this in the news this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 4-year-old boy wanted some candy hopped into his\ngreat-grandfather\u2019s SUV. Along the mile-and-a-half journey, with eyes barely\nable to see over the steering wheel, Sebastian cruised the neighborhood streets\nbefore making a left turn onto a busy four-lane. He took out some mailboxes and\ndid some damage to a tree. But in the end, he arrived at the candy store just\nin time to be greeted by the police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I like stories like that. Until I think about what might\nhave happened. <\/em>And then, I kind of agree with the great-grandfather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It could\u2019ve been very serious.
\nHe could\u2019ve hit a car.
\nHe wasn\u2019t wearing a seat belt.
\nWe could be talking about a funeral.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A car in the hands of a child is a scary thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a dangerous thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this podcast, I suggest to you that we allow something of\nthat dangerous level in our lives \u2013 something that can kill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That \u201csomething\u201d is envy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we respond correctly to God’s word, we can transition from envy to contentment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
