{"id":1939,"date":"2021-10-14T09:28:25","date_gmt":"2021-10-14T13:28:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curwensvillealliance.org\/pastorsblog\/?p=1939"},"modified":"2021-10-14T15:29:05","modified_gmt":"2021-10-14T19:29:05","slug":"what-are-your-strengths","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.curwensvillealliance.org\/pastorsblog\/?p=1939","title":{"rendered":"What Are Your Strengths?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Reading <em>The Way of the Warrior<\/em>, by Erwin McManus<\/strong>, I am struck by something he says about loving God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his chapter titled, <em>The Warrior Finds Honor in Service, <\/em>he notes that as we read Jesus&#8217; words about loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, we seldom consider what that last word means &#8211; our <em>strength<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.curwensvillealliance.org\/pastorsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/image-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"242\" src=\"https:\/\/www.curwensvillealliance.org\/pastorsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1945\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.curwensvillealliance.org\/pastorsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/image-2.png 800w, https:\/\/www.curwensvillealliance.org\/pastorsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/image-2-300x91.png 300w, https:\/\/www.curwensvillealliance.org\/pastorsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/image-2-768x232.png 768w, https:\/\/www.curwensvillealliance.org\/pastorsblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/image-2-500x151.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Then he makes a great suggestion:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Maybe a good exercise would be to sit down and make a list of all your strengths. After all, you can&#8217;t take mastery over what you are unaware of. Your intellectual capacity is a strength. Your physical health is a strength. Your emotional intelligence is a strength. Your ability to influence others is a strength. Your ability to create wealth is a strength. Your resilience and determination are strengths.<\/p><cite>-McManus in <em>The Way of the Warrior<\/em>, p. 62.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>So I am asking myself, how am I loving God with my strengths? <\/strong>How are you loving God with&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Your intellectual capacity<\/li><li>Your physical health<\/li><li>Your emotional intelligence<\/li><li>Your ability to influence others<\/li><li>Your ability to create wealth<\/li><li>Your resilience and determination<\/li><li>Your&#8230;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Those strengths are gifts from God.
