This project is designed to draw the women of our church closer together by giving them opportunities to show love to each other over the next year.  You will be able to get to know her and minister to her till next September, when you will reveal your identity. Remember that the goal of the project is to minister to other women, so the focus is on what you give, not on what you receive.

If you do not hear from your Secret Sister for two consecutive months, please speak to Jann McGarry or Betsy Durendetta.

Requirements for participation:

Keep the identity of your "sister" a SECRET! Do not tell anyone else the name you have! The secret is half the fun! Be creative in disguising your handwriting and your gifts so she cannot figure out who you are! If you have a distinctive postmark, you might even want to send from another post office.

Remember your sister’s birthday, anniversary, and holidays.

Keep in touch once a month with a card or small gift. Gifts should be worth at least $5.

Gifts for sisters should be secretively placed on the table in the lobby, with a name tag to indicate the receiver. This will prompt women to check the table each week, in anticipation of communication from her sister.

Gifts do not have to be large or expensive-- handmade items, yummy treats, a box of specialty tea or coffee, stationery, flowers, a potted plant....any little thing that communicates love. The woman’s special interests and favorite colors can give you ideas.

Pray for your secret sister regularly.
